WHO WILL WIN KKR OR RCB

IPL 2018 Highlights Qualifier 1 SRH vs CSK: Chennai Super Kings are into their seventh IPL Final after they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by two wickets. Faf du Plessis scored 67* and single-handedly took the team into the final. CSK were wobbling in the chase and were in danger of not reaching the final on Tuesday but Faf chased down the 140-run target with a six. CSK lost wickets at regular intervals and could never get going in the chase. Rashid Khan from SRH was the chief destroyer as he gave only 11 runs for his 2 wickets. Faf du Plessis, however, is keeping CSK in the chase. The winner will reach the IPL Final. CSK won the toss and elected to bowl and the bowlers did a great job as SRH could not recover from the bad start and lost regular wickets. Their scoring rate fell below six in the second half of the innings. Carlos Brathwaite made 43 runs from 29 balls to help CSK recover and post 139 for 7 in 20 overs

Nipah - A Virus With No Vaccine & 75% Mortality Rate!

The Nipah virus may be little known, but scores extremely high when it comes to risk. The virus was first reported in Malaysia in 1998 and is no stranger to India. Indeed, it has struck India and Bangladesh multiple times since, leaving behind a toll count of nearly 280 infections and 211 deaths. And now, it’s back!
Nipah virus has already claimed over 9 lives in Kerala in past one month. Three people have tested positive for the virus over the past two weeks. And over 25 victims carrying its symptoms have been hospitalized.
Here’s what you should know about the Nipah menace.
  • Indications of a possible infection are fever and respiratory trouble and confusion. Flu-like symptoms have also been witnessed in some cases. The severity is too high and can progress to a state of coma.
  • Incidentally, this is a virus that can re-activate itself inside the patient’s body months or even years after the first strike. In such cases, the host can develop lasting health conditions such as stubborn convulsions and personality changes.
  • The way to stay out of harm’s way is to avoid exposure to infected animals, such as pigs and bats, and not consuming raw date palm sap.
  • Transmission of the virus to humans takes place via direct contact with infected bats, infected pigs, from other NiV infected people and by consuming food which is either infected or has come in contact with animals which are infected.
Symptoms of Nipah Virus:
The incubation period for the symptoms to develop for this virus is from 5 to 14 days and once the diagnosis is done the treatment must be given immediately. The Nipah virus can lead to the following in patients
Severe Lung condition
Asymptomatic infection
Inflammation of brain tissues
Preventive measures:
  • Stay away from people who are already infected with Nipah virus or NiV
  • In case, you have to touch the person then make sure you wash your hands from time to time.
  • Utensils, clothes or any other items used by the person infected with the virus should be kept separately.
  • If you are transporting the body of a person who has died of this virus, then make sure to cover your face, especially the nose.
Treatment for Nipah Virus:
No vaccination or medicine is available for treating people or animals with Nipah virus. The only treatment available is intensive supportive care. So visit a hospital as soon as you see the symptoms.
Not surprisingly, the Nipah virus ranks in the list of Top 10 priority diseases that the World Health Organization (WHO) has earmarked as possible candidates for the next major outbreak. Though treatment is currently limited care, efforts are on by the government and the medical community to develop preventive measures to combat the spread of the Nipah virus.

Amazon Vs Jet.com: Which Online Retailer Is Best For Buying Tech?

Online shopping has taken over. Gone are the days when you would head to the local Radioshack for all your tech needs. These days it's much easier, more convenient, and often even cheaper, to head to an online retailer like Amazon or Jet.
Of course, not every online retailer is the same — some are better than others. There are a few online retailers to head to if you're looking for tech — and they might be better than the other for certain situations. Perhaps two of the most famous are Jet, and of course, Amazon.

But which should you head to? Here are the pros and cons for Amazon and Jet, and what makes each service worth considering. To compare the pricing for the two websites, we've chosen a few products -- including the Samsung Galaxy S810.5-inch iPad Pro, and TCL 32S305 TV.

Subscription: Amazon Prime costs $119 per year and offers free shipping on tons of items, access to Amazon music and video streaming services, and more.
What it offers: You can buy pretty much anything from Amazon. Well, anything except for competitive products from the likes of Google and Apple. Tech, clothing, accessories -- you name it, you can probably buy it from Amazon.
What it doesn't offer: Products like the Google Home, Apple TV, and Google Chromecast are in direct competition with the Amazon Echo and Amazon Fire TV — and as such the company doesn't list them on its website.
When it's cheaper: Based on the products we compared, it seems like most of the time, Amazon is the cheaper option. For both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPad Pro, Amazon ended up being cheaper. Why? Well, there's a much larger range of sellers on Amazon than on Jet, so it's possible that the wider range of sellers can lead to more competition within the Amazon Store, and lower prices. The Samsung Galaxy S8 came in at $558+ for the 64GB model, which is around $40 cheaper than the Jet equivalent, while the 10.5-inch iPad Pro came in at $587+ — over $60 cheaper than on Jet.
Other info: Amazon Prime may cost more than Jet, but if you want benefits like access to Amazon Prime video, Amazon Prime Music, and more, then it may well be worth it for you. On top of that, Amazon generally offers a wider range of products, despite the few omissions in competitive areas.
JET
Subscription: Jet doesn't offer a subscription in the same way that Amazon does -- instead it'll simply give you free 2-day shipping on any order over $35. In other words, if you're not already an Amazon Prime member, you don't necessarily need to pay for quick and free shipping.
What it offers: Jet offers a range of products, including tech, but the selection doesn't seem to be quite as big as Amazon's. That's not to say it's a small store -- there are hundreds of products in each range of categories, so it likely still offers what you're looking for, or a very similar item.
What it doesn't offer: As mentioned, Jet is missing some things. We found that we couldn't find many recent flagship phones, nor many Amazon-specific products, like the Amazon Echo -- though accessories for those products were available.
When it's cheaper: Generally speaking, it seemed like Amazon was the cheaper option -- but that wasn't always the case. While both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPad Pro were more expensive on Jet, the TCL 32S305 TV was cheaper by around $30. Jet's real advantage seems to come in the form of other products -- like food items and everyday needs.
Other info: As mentioned, the real reason to go for Jet is that you're looking for things like food items and paper towels — but it's also a great way to get free shipping without having to pay for it. Any order over $35 offers free shipping, which is good news for those that don't want to pay for an Amazon Prime

Conclusions

Is Jet going to take Amazon out any time soon? Well, no. But that doesn't mean it isn't worth considering. We recommend comparing both sites for any item that you're looking for — but if you're not interested in doing the work, Amazon is probably still the way to go, especially if you don't mind the $119 Amazon Prime subscription.

Delhi High Court upholds CBSE’s upper age limits to apply for NEET

Delhi High Court upholds CBSE’s upper age limits to apply for NEET

It, however, strkes down a clause in the notification that bars students from open schools or those who have studied privately from appearing in the test. The Delhi High Court on Friday dismissed pleas challenging a notification of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that laid down the upper age limits of 25 and 30 for general and reserved categories respectively to apply for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). The court, however, struck down a clause in the notification that bars students from open schools or those who have studied privately from appearing in the test. A Bench of justices Sanjiv Khanna and Chander Shekhar said that the proviso to the clause of the CBSE’s January 22 notification prescribing an upper age limit of 25 in the case of general category candidates and 30 years in the case of reserved category candidates was “legal and valid”. “To this extent, the writ petitions challenging vires of proviso to clause 4 of the Regulations are dismissed,” the Bench said. The proviso to a clause of the regulations disqualifying recognised open school board candidates “is struck down and declared unconstitutional“. “Students/candidates, who have done class 12 from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) or recognised open school state boards, would not be treated as per se disqualified for selection and appearance in NEET. Their NEET results, when otherwise eligible, would be declared with other candidates,” the Bench said in its 81-page judgement.

Windows 7 (codenamed Vienna, formerly Blackcomb[7]) is a personal computer operating system developed by Microsoft. It is a part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. Windows 7 was released to manufacturing on July 22, 2009 and became generally available on October 22, 2009,[8] less than three years after the release of its predecessor, Windows Vista. Windows 7's server counterpart, Windows Server 2008 R2, was released at the same time.
Windows 7 was primarily intended to be an incremental upgrade to the operating system, intended to address Windows Vista's poor critical reception while maintaining hardware and software compatibility. Windows 7 continued improvements on Windows Aero (the user interfaceintroduced in Windows Vista) with the addition of a redesigned taskbar that allows applications to be "pinned" to it, and new window management features. Other new features were added to the operating system, including libraries, the new file sharing system HomeGroup, and support for multitouch input. A new "Action Center" interface was also added to provide an overview of system security and maintenance information, and tweaks were made to the User Account Control system to make it less intrusive. Windows 7 also shipped with updated versions of several stock applications, including Internet Explorer 8Windows Media Player, and Windows Media Center.
In contrast to Windows Vista, Windows 7 was generally praised by critics, who considered the operating system to be a major improvement over its predecessor due to its increased performance, its more intuitive interface (with particular praise devoted to the new taskbar), fewer User Account Control popups, and other improvements made across the platform. Windows 7 was a major success for Microsoft; even prior to its official release, pre-order sales for 7 on the online retailer Amazon.com had surpassed previous records. In just six months, over 100 million copies had been sold worldwide, increasing to over 630 million licenses by July 2012. Windows 7 was the most popular Windows variant up to January 2018, when Windows 10 edged it out globally, with a market share of 44.81% for "desktop operating systems."[9]Windows 7 remains popular in most countries,[10] particularly on the continents of Asia and Africa.
